Recently I have found some new perspective about the situations that have been unfolding in my life.
I have been thinking about certain details that seem to be important in subtle ways... Like how much skateboarding has been significant in specific moments in my life.

I remember having so much fun playing the Tony Hawk games back in my childhood and then, sharing a real skateboard with my best friend from elementary. We rode just for the fun of it.

When I was in middle school I rode that very same skate with my first love (the skate did not last that long, but the relationship went on for seven years) trying my first tricks and going to my first skate park too. At the same time, I used to ride with my other friends many afternoons after school. We even drank* some bad brew and I went on to split my chin one time.

I then went onto some hiatus after I had no board to ride (my friend wanted his skate back) and I got interested in many other things at that time so I didn't care in replacing it.

But recently, I was thinking all of this one night when I went on to find this video from Original Skateboards back from 2009. I remember I first got into smoking* back then and that video really did something for me. In fact, I remember seeing another video from them riding along in Barcelona, and now I kind of get my interest in Spain. I find it so fascinating.

Anyways, I picked this lovely reissue of Claus Grabke's 87' "Exploding Clock" from someone that didn't rode it anymore, and even though I already crashed and hurt myself (mind you, I haven't ride one in fifteen years and this one is my first old school board) I AM LOVING IT!

*I have to say, that me and company all started on the wild side of life VERY early...
